Institute of Rural Management Anand, popularly known as IRMA or IRMA Anand, was established in 1979. IRMA is a private institute located in Anand, Gujarat, India. IRMA was founded under the leadership of Dr. Verghese Kurien, renowned as the ‘Milkman of India’ with the initial support of various organizations and bodies, including the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the Government of India, among others. Additionally, IRMA Anand programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The NIRF 2024 Ranking has ranked IRMA 49th in the Management category.
